Bạch Mã Temple is one of the oldest temples in Hanoi, located in the heart of the Old Quarter on Hàng Buồm Street. Built in the 9th century, the temple is dedicated to the White Horse, a mythical symbol of protection and strength. Legend has it that King Lý Thái Tổ was guided by the White Horse to build the city’s original walls.

The temple’s architecture reflects a mix of traditional Vietnamese and Chinese influences, with intricately carved wooden beams and ornate altars. Visitors can admire the detailed statues and offerings placed in honor of the White Horse spirit.

Bạch Mã Temple holds significant cultural and historical value, representing the spiritual foundation of Hanoi. It remains an important religious site where locals come to pray for peace, prosperity, and protection. The temple offers visitors a peaceful retreat in the bustling city and a chance to connect with Hanoi’s ancient past.
